Bear Days

Bear Days
Posted on 07/01/2022
During Bear Days, students come to school to get pictures taken, purchase items such as ASB cards, parking passes, and yearbooks, and meet with counselors to make schedule corrections, if needed. Ninth graders and new students may also pick up computers if they wish to check one out from the school. If you need to check out a computer, fill out this Google form before Bear Days. Fees for yearbooks, ASB, parking passes, and athletics may be made online using the online payment system starting in mid to late August.

Students who cannot attend Bear Days may come on a day scheduled for a different class, or take care of Bear Day tasks once school starts.

Schedule Changes/Corrections: If you would like to make a correction to your schedule, please read through this information and fill out the form linked below. Counseling staff will review your request and respond to it by email or phone. Students will need to log in with their GoTahoma account to fill out the schedule change form. Your request will be processed faster if you fill out the highlighted form below rather than emailing your counselor directly.

You do not need to see your counselor during Bear Days if:
You are a junior or senior and want to drop a class and not replace it with a different class, you can fill out Application for School Day Release/Drop Class (form will be updated in August) and upload it when you fill out the Schedule Change/Correction Form linked below.

You want to be a TA, fill out this Application for Teacher Assistant, get it signed by the teacher/staff member you plan to TA with, and return it to the counseling office during the first week of school.

You will probably need to see your counselor during Bear Days for most other schedule change requests. Make sure your request meets at least one of these criteria:
- I am missing a class
- I have a class I did not request (counseling staff will check to verify)
- I want to drop a class/late arrival/early dismissal
- I am a junior or senior and I don't need the class to meet graduation requirements
- I am incorrectly placed in a class because I have not taken prerequisite
- I failed the prerequisite for a class I am registered for
- I am missing a class related to my personal pathway
- I already took the class

Schedule changes will NOT be made:
- If you got a class you requested as an elective during registration
- To change teachers
- To be in a class with friends
- For second semester (those can be done at the end of first semester)
