Class Information

AP EUROPEAN HISTORY

In this class students will be exposed to European History beginning with the Renaissance and ending with current events with focus on political, economic, religious, and cultural changes. Students will be learning how to write short answer responses, as well as acquire document-based analytical and long essay writing skills. The class requires commitment and willingness to work diligently on varied homework components beyond other elective Social Studies classes.

WALK WITH THE ANCIENTS

In this class students will examine the rise of ancients civilizations, including Egypt, Greece, Rome, and a look into Medieval Europe. Students will explore the political, economic, religious, and cultural stories these societies have left behind. A separate unit focuses on major western and eastern religions.

PSYCHOLOGY II

In this class students will be exploring units that will address theories of human development, basic concepts of abnormal psychology, as well as focus on such topics as: mood disorders, anxiety disorders, dissociative disorders, schizophrenic, and personality disorders.
