Bears, just a couple reminders for your calendars:

  • Winter Break is December 18th - January 1st.
  • Return to school January 2nd; GOLD DAY (periods 5-8)

Verify Yearbook Headshots: The yearbook class has posted all photos for of the "headshot" portions of the yearbook on the windows of the Future Ready Center. Please walk by and check to make sure that your name is spelled correctly, that your photo is of you and that you are in the correct grade. This is your one chance to help us make sure history is recorded correctly before we submit these pages for printing. You have until December 12th. After that, what is up on the wall will be in the book. If you find an error, let Mr. Burnham know in room C110.

Winter Music Performances: Our THS bands, symphony, orchestra, and choirs have been working hard and are excited for their upcoming holiday performances! Click here to review the schedule and locations, they would love to see you!

Winter Art Flurry: It's that time of year again for the Annual Winter Art Flurry! We are accepting artwork and entry forms in room 113 until December 8th. We welcome all art mediums and subject matter including sculpture, photography, painting, knitting, and more, for display. This is a free event (December 13th 5-7) however if you would like to support the community, please consider donating a non-perishable food item for the Maple Valley Food Bank. Your art can be of any subject matter and does not have to be winter themed related. We look forward to showcasing the amazing artists we have here at Tahoma!

THS Winterfest: Tahoma High School is hosting a Winterfest for grades K-5 on December 13th from 5-7 p.m. This holiday event will feature games, crafts, music, hot cocoa, indoor snowball fights and more! There is no cost to attend this event, but if you would like to support the community, we invite you to bring non-perishable cans of food for donation upon entrance. Happy Holidays!

THS Parents: Tahoma High School is teaming with the Nick of Time Foundation to offer free EKG Youth Heart Screenings to individuals age 12-24.  This event will be Wednesday, February 7th in the THS Gymnasium.  Space is limited, so all students must pre-register at http://bit.ly/NoTFEKGAppt.  Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in exercising or at-play young people on school campuses.  Please take a moment during the Winter Break to register your son or daughter for this important event.  If you have additional questions, you can call the THS Athletic Office at 425.413.6302 or see the attached flyer.

Future Ready: Students who would like to know more about finding and applying for scholarships should attend the presentation during Power Hour on December 13 during Power Hour B in PAC 1.

THS Fastpitch: Students interested in playing for our Tahoma Fastpitch team and knowing more about winter workouts are invited to a player interest meeting on Thursday January 4th at 2:30 in room 317.

SENIOR Parents/Guardians: Now is the time to design and submit your senior graduation ads for this year’s Yearbook. We use an online design feature through our yearbook company that allows you to design your own ad. Please make sure that you are on a laptop/desktop when creating the ad. Also, make sure that you do not have an ad or pop-up blocker running. If you need help, call the company at 877-723-6344 or email them at [email protected]. Once created, we cannot go back and edit your ad so make sure to take your time getting things just right. All Yearbook ads are due by January 31st. No late ads will be accepted. Senior grad ads are optional and must be school appropriate.
