Student Schedules & Rooms
Students can view their schedule and rooms in Skyward Family Access. To prepare for April 12/13, students may want to have a screen shot of that information on their phone, or print out the information.

Daily Health Screening
Every morning parents must complete a Daily Health Screening (attestation) for their child(ren) before students arrive on campus. This health screening assures that students attending school do not have any COVID symptoms nor have students been in contact with someone who may be positive.

How do I get access to this Daily Health Screening? Please look for an email from Tahoma School District with the subject line, “TAHOMA DAILY HEALTH SCREENING”. Once this email is opened, the parent is to answer a few questions attesting that their child does not have  any COVID symptoms or that they have not been in close contact with someone who may test positive for COVID.

A green check mark will be displayed if the student is cleared to come to school. If there is a red X, then the student will be required to stay home.

There is an option of receiving this notification via text every day instead of an email. Just follow the prompt in the email. Many parents have found this to be a more efficient way to complete the daily health screening.

QR Code: Students
After your parent has completed the Daily Health Screening, please use your cell phone camera to capture your QR Code. It will display the green check mark permitting you to be on campus for the day.

When entering the building, all students will show the green check mark (which will include a timestamp) to the attendance staff at the door.

If you have not captured the QR code on your phone, we will have scanners at each of the doors to scan your student identification card with your QR Code. Students without a green check mark will not be permitted to enter the building.

Building Entrances
We have 5 entrances available to students. As you arrive on campus, please choose the door with the shortest line. Please adhere to the 6 foot social distancing protocols.

Parent drop off and pick up will be on the west side of the building (athletic field side) until the end of the year.

Hybrid/Remote Changes

What is the procedure to switch from hybrid to fully remote? If you are interested in switching from hybrid to fully remote this is fairly simple.  Changes to fully remote will be processed and you will be notified by the THS counselor assigned to your student when the change has been made (likely within 72 hrs).

What is the procedure to switch from fully remote to hybrid? If you are interested in switching from fully remote to hybrid, please know this may not be possible due to safety guidelines in classrooms. All four of your classes must have availability based upon Department of Health guidelines for 6-foot distancing.  If there is not availability in all 4 classes, you will be placed on a waitlist.

Computer Information for High School Students
All hybrid-schedule students are expected to bring a fully-charged computer back and forth to school each day. Students can either bring their borrowed laptop/Chromebook or their own computer.  Because district devices will now be traveling to and from school, students will need to use a district-provided padded case AND we are offering a $10 insurance option (through a third party) that all families are encouraged to consider. A case will be provided for students who already have a borrowed Chromebook. Students who are requesting a borrowed device for the first time will receive a case when they pick up their device.

If you do not already have a borrowed device, parents/guardians may request one and schedule pick up by completing this form.

Information about bringing your own device can be found here. It's important that students read this information before coming to school in order to be prepared for class.

Families are encouraged to purchase insurance for $10 to cover loss/theft/breakage of the borrowed device for the remainder of the school year. You can read the details of what the insurance covers here. If a family does not purchase this insurance, they are responsible for loss/theft of borrowed devices as well as any repairs necessary due to neglect. Families who opt out of the insurance are responsible for theft and/or damage up to $200. Families can sign up for insurance through an online portal as soon as they pick up a laptop.

Information regarding how to purchase insurance for high school students’ devices can be found here.

More information regarding student device needs, including the portal to purchase insurance can be found on the District's reopening technology page

Bus Transportation
You should have received information specific to your household already. Families with students on Special Education bus runs will be contacted by drivers regarding the specific pick-up and drop-off times.

Transportation will go back to using the E-link system when schools are no longer hybrid.

COVID-19 Bus Protocols: Please help your student prepare for the bus ride by reminding them of our COVID-19 safety protocols: Wear a mask (and bring a spare); keep at least 6 feet apart from others while waiting for the bus; wash hands before leaving home; one student per seat is preferred, unless they are from the same household; dress warmly (windows will be partly open to increase fresh air flow); no eating or drinking on the bus.
Contact Transportation for bus info if needed-425-413-3220.
