Class Information

AP U.S. History: 6th and 8th periods

In this class students will study American history starting from the Pre European colonial period and ending in the modern era; with a focus on the political, economic, and social changes that occurred. Students will be learning how to write short answer responses, as well as acquire document-based analytical and long essay writing skills. The class requires commitment and willingness to think critically and work diligently on varied homework components beyond other elective Social Studies classes. More information can be found in the AP U.S. History Class Syllabus

American Studies: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th periods

In this class students will study American history starting from the end of the Civil War era and ending in the Modern era; with a focus on the political, economic, and social changes that occurred. Students will engage in class discussions, write short papers and work collaboratively on class projects. The class requires commitment and willingness to work diligently on varied written assignments and verbal activities. More information can be found in the American Studies Syllabus
